Silvergrove identified and evaluated multiple acquisition candidates for IMI, and the process resulted in the successful acquisition of International Certification Services (“ICS”), based in Medina, North Dakota. ICS, founded in 1979, is a leading provider of organic certification services to the world’s producers and processors of crops, livestock, dairy products, produce and packaged foods. Together, IMI and ICS provide a comprehensive range of verification services to the food and agriculture industries for U.S. Department of Agriculture (“USDA”), international and proprietary programs and standards including organic, antibiotic free, non- hormone treated, gluten-free, natural, sustainable, and animal welfare.
