Light Fabrications (“Light Fab”) was founded by Jim Cucinelli in 1977 to provide custom fabricated components to a wide range of domestic and international OEMs. Through continued investments in equipment and capabilities, the Rochester, NY based company became one of the leading independent converters, fabricators and contract manufacturers of pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) and other flexible materials for performance critical applications in diverse end markets including medical, transportation, defense, electronics and industrial. The family-owned company was seeking a strategic partner with a national sales presence to assist it in achieving accelerated growth. Silvergrove managed a competitive process which identified multiple high potential partners, and ultimately executed a strategic sale to EIS, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company (NYSE:GPC), a Fortune 500 Company based in Atlanta. The transaction achieved a successful transition for the family owners and ensured the future growth of Light Fab.
